US studio SHoP Architects and studio Nutall Smith disclosed a number of photographs indicating their innovation hub and HIV research lab in Gaborone, Botswana.

Being based on the edges of the Botswanan capital city, close to the Kalahari Desert, the building will serve as a location for workplaces and research centers, working for a few government offices, or just as space for global and local innovation organizations.

SHoP Architects and Nutall Smith partitioned the structure into three long hinders that are linked by interfacing arms that create a progression of yard spaces.

The most important, tallest square, which measures up to four stories, will house most of the innovation hub’s common areas, including a 250-seat theater and a bar.

Associated with the main section by two bending arms, the two-story northern block will basically contain labs for government organizations and startups.
