ORTHO is a minimalistic home situated in the Kanto area of Japan, structured by Apollo Architects and Associates. The plan of the home utilizes the particular shape and geography of the layered, irregular plot.

The outside is characterized by two rectilinear solid volumes with a board-framed finish.

The inhabitants enter through a garage that is concealed from the main road, taking place thanks to the gap in height of the house. The main floor is reachable by steps or by elevator.

The main floor presents a patio and a planted porch on the southern side, which is also a buffer zone for out door activities while preserving privacy.

The pantry, main room, and private areas all face the porch, which fills the room with plenty of natural light.
