Set on the 9th floor of Grand Tokyo South tower in Marunouchi, the 295 sqm space is a takeoff from the standards in both structure and capacity.

For Tokyo-based studio, I IN, the objective was to make the feeling of sharing a space, as you were in your own home, instead of an office.

The intent was to eradicate the various conference rooms of the first floor to make a huge lounge room like zone which is tied down by a central pit filled with comfy couches.

The outcome, state I IN’s lead engineers Yohei Terui and Hiromu Yuyama, is a place where individuals can truly unwind, even in an office setting.
