Located in Prague, Ov-a Architekti has worked on a house made of glass and renovated a few 19th-century building: this was commissioned by the glass company Lasvit, based in Nový Bor, Czech Republic.

The glass-making company wanted a project that spoke of the heritage of the art of glassmaking and which showed the element of glass in a fresh and new setting.

Ov-a Architekti worked on bringing new life to an already existing building and then finished the project with a touch black and white decorations to complete the company’s headquarters.

The existing houses were originally utilized as glass workshops, and the company Lasvit wanted to preserve the story, while renovating them thanks to the addition of modern elements.

The building is entirely made of glass tiles, and it presents several facilities that compose the company’s headquarters: offices, cafes, and a showroom with products on display.
